We absolutely love the base! We were very happy to have selected something that had beams connecting to the stands since the table that it supports is over 200 lbs. The brushed black is such a unique finish, it's one of those colors that changes slightly depending on lighting and your angle of view. The packaging was some of the best I've ever seen. It was so well protected that I think it took longer to unwrap than to install (which was terrific).
